So I WAS looking forward to opening my degree once it arrived in the mail, but my mom decided that she wanted to so she could frame it and surprise me.
Wrong.
I was really looking forward to it. More than I was when I got my big acceptance package from Bethel. Way more.
I earned that degree, I worked hard, and represents a lot of what I have gone through the last four years.
And now I feel really jipped.
The only thing worse would be having her know I'm pregnant before I even do, and then surprising me. (When/if that day come) (This did happen to a cousin of mine)

I feel you. I was so excited just to open mine up and stick the paper inside the book. It's still a huge accomplishment Pandita even if you don't get to be the one to see the paper first... but I think you'll know when you're preggers before you mom. You can have that :)
OMG how is it possible for a mom to know her daughter is pregnant before a pregnant daughter knows it? Unless of course mom is a doctor...
Well, I guess your mom didn't mean anything wrong by doing this, she just didn't know what you want...

And ElenaJ, my cousin took a pregnancy test while her mom was visiting and left it out on the bathroom counter and the mom read the results before she could. It's not a big scandal, seeing as how my cousin is married (and the reason she's my cousin), I just think it would suck just a little.
